About Us

Positive Animal Solutions evolved from my role as a lecturer at Bishop Burton College. Students were finding it challenging to find the books they needed for their courses, inparticular the FdSc and BSc in Canine Behaviour and Training.
From sourcing that first book, requests came in for other texts as well as DVDs and so Positive Animal Solutions was formed.

The range we offered grew until we have now become one of the key sources for up to date publications which appeal to the student, trainer, behaviourist and dog owner.

From the beginning we decided that we would only offer items which fitted with our ethos of using techniques which get results and also build the relationship with the dog without fear or intimidation.

More recently we have included a range of toys which we think are pretty special. We first of all brought together our test panel of dogs ranging from American Bulldogs, Hungarian Vizslas, Border Collies, Boxers, Lurchers. Labradors and Spaniels to ensure that the toys would stand up to hard play whilst building drive and want. We think that you can see all of that within the videoclips that we've included for some of these toys!

We've also arrange seminars and training courses, including ClickerExpo in 2014 and 2015 with speakers including

  • David Ryan
  • Claudia Fugazza
  • Pam Mackinnon
  • Dr Roger Abrantes
  • Dr Susan Friedman
  • Nicole Wilde
  • Sarah Fisher
  • Ken Ramirez
  • Karen Pryor

  • Kathy Sdao

About Me

An experienced people and dog trainer having provided training services in companies such as Argos and Thomas Cook and then in my own training classes and behavioural consultations. I have been a lecturer at Bishop Burton College for over nine years teaching on a range of animal related courses but primarily on the canine degree courses which are awarded by Hull University.

With over 25 years of dog training experience, we aim to provide owners and handlers with the skills they need to enable them to train and live with their dogs now and throughout their lives.
